About this game

Afterplace is an adventurous indie game for mobile devices. It's a huge open world, full of hidden secrets, treasures, and creatures. You'll run around the woods, fight monsters, and talk to ostensibly shady characters! All from your pocket! Be warned though - you never know what the forest might be hiding. Not all trails are paved. Labyrinths and dungeons are tucked away in the most concealed nooks. There are no waypoints in Afterplace. You'll have to forge your own path.

Afterplace has been designed from the ground up to be a fast, fluid, beautiful experience for mobile. There are no virtual buttons. You can move and attack by touching anywhere. You can tap objects directly to interact or attack, or use two thumbs like a traditional controller. The game will adapt dynamically to your play style. Pick up and set down the game at your own pace, it will always save your progress. Afterplace is made to feel like a full-fledged indie adventure game that fits in your pocket.

Pretty good game. Very unique story and really channels the exploration I games. The characters are charming and it's decently funny. The inclusion of a invinciblity mode was great when I decided I just wanted to finish the story. Overall very heartwarming and solid game definitely worth the price. This game needs more popularity. I'd recommend going into this game as blind as possible.

Hands down one of the best mobile games I have played in years. One of the best short-form RPG's I've played in years. Evan, your design choices, from subtle lore building to well-placed discoverable secrets, combined with characters that exude personality, is impeccable from start to finish. Get someone to help you advertise this and you'll have no trouble funding your next venture, with my support of course.

A true gem of a game. Smooth controls, charming pixel art and wonderfully strange enemies and environments, and a truly non linear open world filled with secret paths. It reminds me of playing NES Zelda games as a kid, where you could just go anywhere at any time, and you slowly learn how to navigate the world. A beautiful game well worth the price, and a solo indie dev nonetheless. (One bug to report: defeated the last boss, was endlessly floating and had to restart the app, but that fixed it!)
