Gaming In The Moment

TL;DR: Inked is a visually unique puzzle game with a hand-drawn art style that adds depth to its emotional story. The puzzles are well-designed and evolve with each level, though the controls can be a bit frustrating at times. The game’s exploration of themes like grief is impactful, but the canvas-collecting mechanic feels cumbersome. Overall, it’s a short yet memorable experience, ideal for puzzle fans.

For being a simple and short game, the story is unbelievably strong! Gameplay, is simple and the art style is very beautiful yet simplistic. The puzzle elements are fun and not too challenging. The hidden artwork pieces around each chapter are challenging to find, yet so fun to search for, and definitely adds replay value, as I didn't even know they existed until halfway through the game, when I found one by accident, and they offer some neat concept art that I do enjoy seeing in games. Perfect!

The this game is so beautiful and thoughtfully designed. I love the story. It's a great leisurely puzzle adventure game that feels like they thought of everything. The single "complaint" I have, is that the waving animated 3D hand is jarring the first time it appears and really takes away from the beauty of the game. A totally unnecessary element in my opinion. I wish it would go away. Lol. Outside of that, this game is literally perfect.
